ABOUT

Hi, my name is Lisa Li.

I’ve always been drawn to sports—not just the competition, but the community, the culture, and the stories that come with it. When injuries took me off the rugby field, I picked up a camera to stay connected. What started as a way to stay involved quickly turned into a creative pursuit. Since then, I’ve been chasing the kind of honest, unscripted moments that make the game feel bigger than what’s on the scoreboard.

Over the years, I’ve photographed everything from grassroots matches to pro games with the New England Free Jacks. I approach photography the same way I approach brand work: with a focus on story, identity, and the emotion behind the action. I studied Marketing and Interactive Media at Northeastern and recently earned my MBA from UCLA Anderson, specializing in brand and sports management. That background gives me a strategic lens, but my creative instincts come from being part of this world my whole life.

Now back in Boston after two years in LA, I’m always open to projects that explore movement, culture, and community. If that’s your world too, feel free to reach out.
